Crawl Inside The Wall
Crawl Inside The Wall
Take this crumbled wall
That has been toppled over with time
Brick by brick removed with the spreading of words
My wall carefully erected grouted strong and tall
Weakened and eventually destroyed
Leaving the path, the access to me
Open in plain view
While the bricks were removed one by one
I knew I was alive
Now each coarse broken and level with the dust
There is no place to hide, no way to regain my cover
How can I feel such shock when I knew what would happen
If the wall came down and I were to be exposed
Now you hurt and I am destroyed
My weakness allowed you to down the wall
Slap the mortar in my face, make it sting
So I might remember the feeling of being alive
Bury me inside the wall
Build it strong so it cannot again fall
I cannot see nor can I hear from inside the bricks
My body will die and my heart will harden
Please help me crawl inside the wall
